PAN , TAN finds way in initial G2B services on e-Biz

Indian Government launched its e-Biz portal (India's first G2B) portal yesterday - https://www.ebiz.gov.in/home
The e-Biz website says that "eBiz is India’s one-stop-shop of convenient and efficient online Government-to-Business (G2B) services. The core theme of eBiz lies in radical shift by Government in its service approach, from being department-centric to customer-centric, in providing services to the business community. From this single website, you will be able to apply and manage all your licenses, clearances, registrations and regulatory filings. You no longer need to go from department to department or wait in line or hop multiple websites for information and services."
Out of curisoity, I also completed my registration and it appears to be well structured.
On the income tax side, currently applications for PAN (i.e. Permanent Account Number) and TAN (Tax Deduction & Collection Account Number) have been enabled. So basically, one can directly apply for PAN and TAN from this single website.
I think it would be very interesting to see how e-Biz evolves and integrates different IT platforms (IT return, assessment notices, income tax and indirect tax payments, existing State VAT systems, etc). But for starters, would give a thumbs-up to this initiative.
